Glass Bevels

Creating depth, and a feeling of quality and craftsmanship, to an Insulated Glass Unit can be best achieved by using the simple method of bevel bonding. Using Glass Bevels in various shapes and sizes, and applying them to your glass using a transparent glue (which can be cured by various mediums) is something the Magden technical staff can offer training for. Plus, our in-house development team have designed and built Magden's own Safe Light Bench.

We supply three different ranges of bevels, including our own Perma Bevel range, which offers unique designs. For larger customers we can even create bevels to your own specification.

Also available is the RegaBevel selection, with over two hundred styles to choose from, such as dolphins, jewels and Chinese script. Whilst the Decra Bevels range includes numbers and coloured bevels.

Bevel Adhesives

Magden supplies various adhesives for bevel bonding, and whilst the glues have different curing properties, the end result is generally the same. Cured by different spectrums of light, these glues give the newly bonded bevel the appearance of being part of a traditionally made unit. We sell two specific types, UV Glue and Safe Light Glue, a selection of which are listed below.

Magden's Bevel Bonder 3349 LV is a low viscosity glue, that tacks on in approx 20 seconds and is easily wiped away when cleaning. It is cured with UV.

Magden's MG-300-LV is a low viscosity glue, that tacks on in approx 15 seconds and is UV cured. It is designed for wipe away or peel-off applications.

Magden's MG-600-MV is a medium viscosity version of the above.

Safe 2 Bond is our adhesive which is cured with safe light. It is a low viscosity glue, which tacks on in approxiamately 20 seconds and is wipe away clean.

Magden also supply a number of bevel adhesives from RegaLead and UV Tec.

Light Tables

To cure bevel glues, you need to apply specific spectrums of light. For this purpose, Magden supplies a number of different kinds of light table. The different models vary, according to your size requirements and whether you're bonding with UV or Safe Light adhesive.

The entry level model in the range is the hand-held lamp, and our tables come in either 2ft or 5ft sizes. All types can be ordered with either UV or Safe Light tubes.

'Accentrim' Bevelled Tape

Another form of beveling available to decorative glass manufacturers, is a Bevelled Tape that can give the appearance of cut glass.

Developed by 3M, Rega's Accentrim is a tape that creates the optical illusion of bevelled or brilliant cut 'V' groove glass. Used in conjunction with 3M's M90 Precision Cutter, this product offers a cost effective alternative to bevelled glass.
